All LinkedIn users now have the opportunity to personalize his or her Profile background image. The default is a teal constellation / connected dots image. If that image does not reflect your personal brand, change it!
Keep these tips in mind:
- Be sure to follow the image requirements.
- File Type: JPG, GIF, PNG
- No larger than 8MB
- Recommended pixel dimensions (1584 x 396)
- Review your new image to ensure that it appears as anticipated.
- Be professional with the image you select!
To update, access your LinkedIn profile. Click the blue pencil icon in the summary section. Again, click the blue pencil at the top of the ‘Edit intro’ page. Upload, adjust, apply, save, and review.
