This position will be responsible for leading a product line from both a product management and product marketing perspective, to grow our overall revenue and margin tied to the product line. The position will also serve as the main point of contact to manage Hennessy’s partnership/relationship for the product line. This position will report to the Director of Marketing The work environment is fast paced and team oriented.
Set and deliver the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue/margin forecasts for the product line. Accountable for delivering programs, commercial offers, etc. needed to achieve growth forecasts.
Drive the product marketing organization in the creation and execution of sound strategies based upon solid market and customer analyses to deliver corporate growth plans.
Increase revenue and margin opportunity through identification of product options. Increase option take rates through sound analytics, bundling and marketing campaigns. Product Marketing
Develop and execute marketing and commercial plans across Promotion, Price, Place and Product (4Ps) to drive growth and margin for current products and successful launch of new products. These activities include identifying customer needs and value drivers, creating value propositions, setting positioning and targeting strategies for all relevant market segments, and pricing needed to win in the marketplace.
Understand market and customer requirements through robust Voice Of Customer (VOC) practices and sound competitive intelligence. Own and share market insights for product line with Hennessy leadership team & other stakeholders to enable informed decision making.
Identify and execute commercial strategies to ensure the organization is pursuing the most promising and valuable business opportunities.
Contribute to channel and sales strategies to ensure achievement of business growth objectives.
Engage directly with customers to support negotiation and communicate product/corporate benefits and vision.
Act as the Marketing representative on product development core teams, with responsibility for commercialization plans, field trial support, and other identified new product development (NPD) activity.
Enumerate key product benefits, differentiation, and positioning. Clearly communicate these to sales teams and to end customers. Product Management
Identify opportunities to expand Hennessy’s solutions via partnerships and develop and manage those partnerships.
Develop and maintain a Market Model, that includes sizing, growth, competitive activity, customer, regulatory and technology factors to guide strategic discussions on target markets. Use Market Model to inform new product development, demand models, and competition trends.
Identify and prioritize new markets / adjacencies for cultivation.
Develop and maintain product roadmaps.
Own product definition, development process and prioritization of features / new products
Articulate clear and accurate market and product requirements
Develop strong and compelling business cases to support requirements
Define winning strategies/approaches where appropriate to engage third parties in developing and delivering solutions that open market opportunities
Collaborate with Engineering to ensure ideation and concept activities are focused on the most compelling business and consumer problems in retail and commercial petroleum related
Position reports to the Director of Marketing. Will interact regularly with customers, to identify, validate, and deliver roadmap and commercial plans.
Heavy interaction with Sales, Engineering, Service, Finance, and Operations. Although these resources will not report directly to this position, the ability to motivate and drive the activities of these resources is critical

Minimum Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Engineering; MBA or advanced management degree is preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ commercial experience; ideally in marketing, product management, new product development, or sales.
Experience launching new products and gaining customer acceptance/adoption of new solutions
Demonstrated strategic marketing skills and leadership
Superior analytical abilities to dig in to multiple layers of data to identify root causes and trends.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Strong technical fluency and aptitude. Must be able to engage in technical discussions with customers, internal engineers, and industry experts. Excellent communicator with ability to coordinate/facilitate differing views/perspectives from cross-functional team members. Must be able to obtain organizational buy-in and support to initiatives and motivate individuals, both direct reports and indirect reports to achieve desired outcomes
Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, able to distill what is truly important to customers, differentiate and confirm the difference between customer wants and unmet needs and the associated economic value; able to build and position customer specific compelling value propositions
Able to conduct original market research and analysis and lead a marketing organization in conducting these analyses, generating recommendations for management, adept at developing and maintaining competitive insights/perspectives for technologies & products/systems.
