Job Title: Business Analyst
Overview
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our Technology Division. This role goes beyond traditional business analysis; we’re looking for someone who is not only proficient in gathering and analyzing business requirements but is also eager to deeply understand the organization and grow into a subject matter expert (SME). A strong technology acumen and a passion for continuous learning are essential to thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering & Analysis:
Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and objectives. - Process Evaluation & Optimization:
Assess current systems and business processes to identify areas for improvement, automation, or digital transformation. - Technology Solution Support:
Assist in the design, implementation, testing, and enhancement of technology solutions including software applications, systems, and infrastructure that align with strategic business goals. - Documentation & Communication:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation such as requirements specifications, process flows, user guides, and training materials. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams, ensuring alignment and clear communication of requirements and expectations. - Training & Support:
Provide user training and support during and after solution implementation to ensure smooth adoption and utilization. - Organizational Learning:
Proactively learn about the business, its products, services, and strategic goals to develop a well-rounded understanding and become a trusted SME over time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a technology-focused environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex systems and translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, or other business analysis and project management tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- A proactive, learning mindset with a desire to grow into a subject matter expert within the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in cross-functional teams including developers, QA testers, and product managers.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, or DevOps environments.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools or basic SQL is a plus.
