We are primarily looking for programmers with strong web development experience preferably with PHP, Node, or ReactJS who will be graduating no sooner than May 2022. We are looking for candidates who will be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and up to 39 hours during the Summer with the possibility of working 20 hours part-time during the Fall of 2021 if performance is exceptional. We are hoping to hire as soon as possible so please let us know your availability to start. In order to comply with current Texas A&M Covid-19 regulations, the student should be able to work onsite 50% of the time and remotely the other half. We also will be conducting interviews through Zoom.
We handle multiple projects throughout the year so we are looking for people who can learn new languages quickly, can work well with others, and are able to work independently with minimum supervision when needed. In other words, we are looking for students who can show initiative, reach out for help when they are stuck on a problem but not every 5 minutes when the answer is on stack overflow, and are honest about project delays. Full-stack skills are definitely welcomed here and undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply. Be prepare to show us examples of your work or talk about your past/current projects.
Please be aware that we are physically located off-campus but we are still considered part of the university so international students can still apply for the position. Also, the closest bus route to us is Route 26 but it is still a mile away from the building. Please be prepared to arrange your own transportation. Parking is free.
