The SCM Finance team of senior analysts is responsible for supporting the finance function of Trinity Health's Supply Chain Management (SCM), including the Procure to Pay and Clinical Engineering functions.
Provides analytical review of financial information focused primarily on improving the performance of regional health ministries (RHMs) and providing accountability to the various initiatives throughout the system. Guides supply chain managers as they develop savings opportunities and work with RHMs to implement changes. Supports the tracking, review and reporting of rebates, departmental costs and/or other initiatives at the direction of functional management.
Supports enabling technologies, provides reporting support from SCIS and other available systems and provides financial analysis of operating metrics. Guides supply chain operational managers as they manage operational control and discipline surrounding supply chain management and works with RHMs to implement changes.

Works with the Manager to create, maintain and produce reports from various transactional systems, including SCIS (Lawson) g/l (PeopleSoft), reporting tools (Hyperion Enterprise & Essbase) and Access.
Develops analyses that provide quantitative evidence of operational control. Upon validation by stakeholders, develops/maintains a tool with meaningful complementary reports that enable effective decision-making.
Works with RHM finance management, implementation managers and other SCM/SCIS staff throughout the development and implementation of a savings initiative to assess the reasonableness of the opportunity and to quantify the financial impact of the initiative.
Responsible to understand, support and provide functional assistance to maintain finance-related tables within SCIS, on behalf of RHM finance, SCM and Procurement.
Works with RHM finance management, resource officers and other SCM/SCIS staff in support of optimizing SCIS functionality related to finance processes.
Responsible to draft, maintain and interpret internal control, operational and financial policies and procedures in support of Supply Chain Management functional areas.
Works with the Director, Finance-SCM and Operational leadership to ensure spend data used to develop control metrics is accurate and consistent across RHMs.
Responsible to provide analytic support and interpret operating trends reflected in monthly dashboards, reports and trending schedules in support of the Supply Chain Operations team, including Inventory Management, Procurement and the Supply Chain Operations Council.
Manages multiple, concurrently running projects, prioritizes tasks and adapts to frequent changes in departmental priorities. Recognizes necessary changes in priority of tasks and brings them to the attention of the Director.
Assists the manager and director in the review and monitoring of work done by other staff in the department.
Supports the development, implementation and maintenance of the appropriate finance systems that provide accurate and timely supply management financial and operational data.
Supports the routine accounting needs of the department, including budget development, monthly expense review, invoicing and account reconciliation for various sites/projects, as required.
Collects, prepares and interprets financial data for presentation to and use by Trinity Health System Office and RHM management.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
Must possess a broad based knowledge of finance as normally obtained through completion of a Bachelor degree in business administration with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting or a related field, and a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in finance, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. CPA certification and/or MBA are preferred. Experience in supply chain accounting, inventory control, production cost accounting, distribution/warehousing or purchasing is strongly preferred.
Must possess an ability to develop appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing and evaluating large amounts of data.
Must possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision of daily tasks.
Must possess a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively discuss financial issues with diverse groups and prepare reports.
Must have a strong working knowledge of financial systems, databases and spreadsheets. Strong working knowledge of Excel, Access and PowerPoint is required.
Must be comfortable in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work priorities. Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles.
Must be able to travel to the various Trinity Health sites as needed. Travel is anticipated to be less than 10%.
