Development Analyst
JOB SUMMARY
Assist the Development team in all aspects of the development process from initial concept through completion, including underwriting, feasibility assessment, financial modeling, capitalization, zoning/entitlements, and design of new development projects. Position will also involve miscellaneous tasks related to existing projects. Primary responsibilities will include underwriting prospective developments, pro forma creation and maintenance, investor/lender presentation creation, market analysis, entitlement assessments, and assisting in transaction due diligence.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS OF THIS JOB/
DESIRED SKILLS
• Resourcefulness to independently gather, compile, investigate, and analyze market data to identify potential development opportunities; prepare narrative development memoranda, detailed reports, and market summaries that provide insights on proposed acquisitions. Must be able organize findings in a meaningful way for purposes of investment decisions.
• Preparation of internal and external investment memoranda and other presentation materials. A good eye for graphic detail is needed to prepare polished, professional presentations.
• Exceptional Excel modeling skills including dynamic pro formas, sensitivity tables, and complex equity waterfalls.
• Work closely with equity investors, lenders, internal accounting and capital markets teams, and title companies to assist in securing project funding. Must have professional writing and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, but ability to simplify and summarize clearly.
