Assistant Product Manager

Position Summary:
The Assistant Product Line Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining Strategic Product Plans for SIG SAUER’s line of products. This position supports the product line management team in all areas related to that role. They will be responsible for defining new market opportunities and growing the business to meet the strategic goals of the company. They will be responsible developing and managing an product management tools to support the growth strategy defined by the executive management team. They will be tasked with supporting the full lifecycle of the product line from inception until obsolescence. They will be charged with delivering financial projections, product forecasts, NPI deliverables, inventory management, and product line strategic planning.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Product line annual revenue and margin targets
- Be the voice of the customer to the entire organization (from aesthetics to performance)
- Sales forecast and production build plan
- Inventory management (review and execution of old or slow moving inventory)
- Lead market research efforts to understand customer’s needs, turning those needs into sound business plans (detailed ROI of proposed programs, through firsthand experience)
- Lead product development to meet clearly written product requirements
- Ownership over NPI strategic launch schedule, produce detailed release plans and control release scope for products.
- Sales and Marketing product support and coordination (tradeshows, key customer presentations, new product training)
- Review and control over product holds (quality, engineering, and product management)
- Write and maintain Marketing strategic plans and maintain competitive pricing matrices
- Establish product specifications and packaging specifications and user manuals
- Annual Catalog and Price list production
- Writes Seminar product introductions
- Sales Meeting product introductions
- Press Release reviews
Education and/or Experience:
- 1-5 years relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, or other relevant field.
- MBA a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in both technical and business disciplines.
- Experience executing and managing financial projections and product forecasts.
- Previous experience developing print media strategies, catalogs and product introductions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously.
- Must be Customer service oriented and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
Working Conditions:
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
